Our country needs to move back to where the founders started it. The constitution is being ignored on a daily basis by these new policies and the government is taking too much power. There has to be a candidate who wants to pull us back to the constitution. Who do you think is that candidate is? If you say Barak Obama, then you need to read the constitution

If we move back to where the founders started it, we would have slavery, women could not vote, plus we would still need to kill all the indians. Our country is much more complex and diverse then when the Constitution was written. But if you want politicians to follow the constitution, then we will have to take them to court and let the judges decide.

It is NOT the job of the courts to "interpret" the constitution... it is their job to uphold and enforce the constitution, and to determine if the laws passed by congress comply with the constitution... that is it... nothing more.

Johnny... that's the lie that the left has been telling for the last 30 years... that the constitution must be "interpreted". It is written in fairly simple, albeit dated, language. "Interpretation" just means that those who have political power (liberals have control of a large percentage







I think Nix means they should interpret the constitution strictly, rather than broadly. My history teacher put it well when he said that liberty was a eventual goal, not an instant guarantee, and slowly the universal rights to vote and liberty became recognized by the government.
